Donna Attewell has 21 years’ experience as a yoga teacher, specialising in Yin Yoga.
Yin yoga can help us understand how to slow down and mindfully practise yoga. The practice of yoga has always been evolving, but essentially it is the cultivation of attention. What we attend to and the attitude with which we attend, greatly influence how we experience ourselves and our life.
Adding a quieter aspect to our yoga practice can introduce us to the possibility of physical, emotional and mental equilibrium. It is a simple practice, but often challenging. It can provide us with ample periods of stillness within, allowing us to pay attention to what is really happening right here, right now.
On a physical level, Yin yoga allows us to work on the tissues of our ligaments, joints, deep fascial networks, and the bones.
