Golden Buddha Restoration Project

Atisha Centre would like to offer its students and supporters the opportunity to contribute towards the restoration and protection of the Golden Buddha.

A statue of the Buddha serves to remind us of our own inner potential that resides within, and of our capacity to achieve enlightenment. It acts as a beacon to guide us along the path and encourages us to develop mindfulness, compassion and wisdom.

The Sutra of the Mudra of Developing the Power of Devotion says, “Someone who sees a statue or image of Buddha, great or small, immediately creates numberless merits.”
